What's in my Bag? Lip Products!

I am feeling super unmotivated today...  I just can't get into the groove of things (is that even a saying?) and it's an amazing day outside so all I want to do is go out!  I always get like this after  a long weekend... I feel like short weeks (this one is a 4 day week in Adelaide) always feel so much longer than 5 day weeks.

Soooo I thought I'd do a what's in my bag as far as lip products are concerned.  I always carry way more than I need however that being said I don't have that many to show you today.  These photos were taken with my phone on my desk so they're nothing flashy... but enjoy anyway :)

These lipsticks/balms are some of my favourites (as you can see) and I never seem to take them out of my handbag... even when I do they seem to appear back in there :)

Mini Swisspers/Rimmel Haul

A little while ago I bought a few things and I thought I'd share them with you... :)

1.  Swisspers Make-Up Pads - 80 pack

Before these I was using $2 for 200 makeup pads that fell apart so these were a welcome relief.  As the packet says these are strong but still very soft.  I use these with my Garnier Micellar Water to wash off my eye makeup and they work just fine :)

2.  Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick - Fancy

I bought this lipstick because of how much I enjoyed my Notting Hill Nude one (read review here).  However I didn't enjoy this colour at all.  I'll write a separate review on that one at a later date.

3.  Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil - Brown

As you may have noticed I have recently become enjoying doing my eyebrows and I am continually searching for the perfect way of doing them/the perfect colour for them.  I like the colour and I like how the pencil is quite hard so the strokes look quite natural.  The little brushy on the end is actually quite useful too to tone down the look.

4.  Swisspers Naturals Cucumber Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes - 4 packs of 5 wipes

 These are probably cheaper to buy in a bigger pack but they were on special at Woolworths (as was everything else) so I got them like this.  I like being able to chuck a mini pack into my handbag for on the go!

And that was all the things I got in my mini Swisspers & Rimmel haul!  Let me know if you enjoy this kind of post and I will make sure to do more like it!  ... any excuse to go shopping ;)

Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers

Last year I noticed the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers in store and something about their unique design pulled me in.  They are a hybrid between a lipstick and lip gloss and come in 11 different shades.  They cost $15.95 so cost more than a Rimmel lipstick however I think they are definitely worth it - especially for you girls who like a glossy finish to their lips.  If you have read my post about Chi Chi's Liquid Lipsticks, they are quite similar to these.

 I bought two shades; 303 Apocaliptic which is a hot pink & 101 Celestial which is more pinky nude/rose.  Both colours are extremely pigmented as you can see below in the swatches.  The applicator has a hollow which holds extra product making these very easy to apply.  I find the best way to use these is to apply one later, press your lips together, and then apply another.  This is because the first layer can look a bit patchy on your lips.

Swatches:  Apocoliptic, Celestial

These lip lacquers are very moisturising and do not dry my lips out.  They last for hours, though do fade a little during eating & drinking.  They don't settle in the natural lines of your mouth and create a lovely finish to your lips.  They feel so creamy that you feel like you are putting a balm on your lips.

The only thing I don't like (and it's a small thing) is that the labels are on the side and really look quite disgusting after a while.  I'm a bit picky I know but I like things to stay looking perty!  They are also quite long which makes them awkward to store but I generally just keep them with my glosses.

Overall I would definitely suggest checking these out as they really are the best of both worlds!  As someone that gets really dry lips these are perfect for me & I'm pretty sure you'll love them too.  Let me know if you've tried any of these and which colours are your favourites as I'd love to try some more!
